The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of The Year
Join the cause and make a donation today!
As you are reading this post, someone is being diagnosed with a blood cancer. To help change this statistic, my friend Ted Mentry, has accepted the nomination to participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign. I am honored to be a member of his team and be a part of funding better treatments and cures for this disease. We have entered a 10-week fundraising competition which began on March 8th and will end on May 19th and where every dollar counts!
When LLS was founded, the survival rate for childhood leukemia was only 3%. Today, that survival rate is more than 90%. Here are two young survivors that are alive today because of research made possible by donors:
How can you help? Please click on this link: https://pages.mwoy.org/rm/denver18/drobinson and make a tax-deductible donation to our team’s fundraising campaign. I genuinely appreciate your support in donating to this incredible cause. Over the past 65 years LLS has invested more than $1 BILLION dollars to innovative cancer research that have resulted in new treatment options and hope for blood cancer patients. Lives are being saved, but there is still work to do. No donation is too large or too small.
THANK YOU for your generosity! With your help, we can give hope to those who fight the tough challenges of blood cancer every day.
The Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program
In memory of my sister, Patti, our family has worked with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to create the “Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program” effective September 1, 2010. This program helps LLS continue to match thousands of blood cancer patients and families with trained peer volunteers—a dedicated group who are in a unique position to express messages of hope and provide community resource information. Last year alone, the “Patti Robinson Kaufmann First Connection Program” matched over 4,500 patients and loved ones with a trained volunteer who has shared a similar experience. Jewish Family Connection
Every year, Jewish Family Service benefits nearly 25,000 people of all ages, faiths, incomes, and abilities providing vital services to people in need. This year, I attended their Annual Luncheon with two of my clients, and we were thrilled to hear Al Pacino speak!
