As 2021 comes to a close, it’s important to take a moment of gratitude and reflect on all of the things that went right over the course of the year. Think back on everything you experienced this year, clearing the table of all the struggles and COVID obstacles. Thinking about the happy times, memorable moments with family, successful projects at work or new places you got to explore. As the years fly by with increasing speed and we’re pulled every which way now with new ways of living, we can sometimes forget to appreciate the things that make it all worthwhile. Personally, I’m grateful for all the time I shared with my wonderful grandchildren (pictured on right), from fun trips to the coast of Maine, to quiet afternoons at home. While the year’s end is a time for reflection and celebration, it’s also a critical time to retool or optimize your strategy for the year ahead. Take a look at unmet goals or processes that could have been improved and explore what you can do differently in 2022.
